Temonat - Temozolomide

Temozolomide is used to treat certain types of brain tumors. Temozolomide is in a class of medications called alkylating agents. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells in your body.

Strength : 20mg, 100mg & 250mg capsules.
Dosages : temonat is usually once daily for 5 days . The treatment may be repeated every 28 days.
Overdose : Symptoms of overdose may include the following:

• unusual bleeding or bruising
• red or black, tarry stools
• pink, red, or dark brown urine
• coughing up or vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds
• fever, sore throat, ongoing cough and congestion, or other signs of infection

Precautions & Warnings:
Temonat should not be taken without consulting your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, blood disorders such as low white blood cell counts or low blood platelet levels, allergies (especially to dacarbazine). Temonat may lower the body's ability to fight an infection. Do not take temonat if you are allergic to it or to any ingredient in temonat and to dacarbazine. Do not take temonat without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant
